Reduces abnormal scars of the types hypertrophic and keloid; dissolves keratois pilaris plugs and actinic keratosis scales. Boosts the secretion of antimicrobial peptides on the surface of the skin and within the skin follicles and controls acne breakouts. It also works wonders for acne scarring and stretch marks. Relieves dermatitis, and vanishes skin blemishes.

Make your Own Natural Skin Care Products

by Valerie DeVette

Natural skin treatments have become a popular part of the spa experience. Just about anything you can imagine is being used as an exotic face and body product. While these concoctions do work, their downside is their cost.

However, you can acquire the benefits of using natural products without spending a fortune. How, by making your own homemade brew of natural skin care products. It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is open the refrigerator door and you'll find everything you need to help give your skin a smooth, moisturized, and rejuvenated appearance.

Let's take a quick look at some of the most popular skin treatments you can make at home: body scrubs and face masks.

Natural Body Scrubs

A scrub can relieve stress while it removes impurities from your skin. You can even use ask someone else to apply the scrub for you.

Sea Salt Scrub (do not use if you have dry or sensitive skin):

To make a sea salt scrub simply mix the following ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl: 1 cup of fine sea salt, one-half cup of grapeseed or almond oil, 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 10 drops of juniper essential oil. Once the mixture is ready, spread it over damp skin and massage gently. Don't forget to pay special attention to your heels and elbows. This scrub can also be used treat some scalp problems.

Don't use the scrub more than twice a month.

Bran and Almond Scrub:

Mix one-half cup of very finely ground almonds and one-half cup of coarse wheat bran. Once it has been mixed; add 1 cup of hot green tea and form a smooth paste. Allow the mixture to cool and add 10 drops of lavender essential oil.

Use this facial scrub no more than once a week.

Seed Scrub

This scrub is made using either one cup of finely ground flaxseed or sunflower seeds. Add a half cup of heavy cream or milk and stir. It can be used daily even if you have sensitive skin. This scrub is particularly good for the winter months as it helps restore moisture to the skin.

Make your own Facial Masks

It is important to pay particular attention to your face as the skin there is more sensitive than other areas. This is one of the reasons natural skin care is a good idea for facial skin care.

Yogurt Mask:

Simply mix together 1 teaspoon of natural yogurt with 1 tsp of runny honey. Apply to your face and let it set for 15 minutes. Rinse the mixture off with warm water.

Lemon Face Mask (good for oily skin):

Make a paste with the following ingredients: four tablespoons of clay, two teaspoons each of lemon pulp, honey, and water. Apply the mask to your face, let set for 15 minutes, and then remove with a moist washcloth.

Spas have been advertising bio skin care for the past few years, but all they're really trying to sell you is an expensive all natural skin care treatment. If you're set on getting a natural treatment but don't want to fall in debt, you can do one of two things: make your own natural skin care products or purchase a cream that will save you the trouble of making your own mix, but still offer a safe and effective treatment, like BIOSKINCARE.
